About
Nature & Soul
In Japanese, nebari refers to the visible roots at the base of a bonsai: what anchors the tree and gives it its character. This idea guides each of our creations.
The art of kokedama
Kokedama, literally “moss ball”, is a traditional Japanese technique: the plant grows in a ball of soil wrapped in natural fibre, without a pot. The result is a living sculpture, simple and essential.
Handmade in Belgium
Every Nebari kokedama is shaped by hand, one piece at a time. Our concrete dishes are hand-cast too, to accompany each ball.
